LWDS (The Legion of Watch Deal Seekers)
Re: LWDS (The Legion of Watch Deal Seekers)
Happy Field Watch Friday!
My Citizen field/pilot. Taking it to work so that I can measure it for a replacement crystal. I am not sure I will get a sapphire, but at least it will be something that isn’t scratched up.

Re: LWDS (The Legion of Watch Deal Seekers)
Today at our son's Valentine's party my wife showed me that she was wearing her Seiko 5. She did NOT want to take a joint wrist shot. When I explained "Field Watch Friday" she asked, "says who?" "The Legion of Watch Deal Seekers!" I replied. Then she told me that I am crazy.

Did she not understand how awesome it was that BOTH of you were compliant?!? My wife has finally accepted me taking watch and beverage pics at dinner. Her mom still brings up me taking a wrist shot with the golden gate bridge in the backround while we were sailing. She didn't understand then, but I've got the whole family coming around.Split-Time wrote:Today at our son's Valentine's party my wife showed me that she was wearing her Seiko 5. My mom is telling me about all the compliments she has gotten on the Hamilton I gave her for Christmas (WTF?!? Nobody EVER compliments my watches, let alone multiple comments in under 2 months!)
My FIL now sends me wrist shots, usually accompanied with beer or whiskey. I feel like I have done a good job of getting everyone on board with my hobby lol.

And not compliant today. Wore the watch I wore on our wedding day for a Valentine's day dinner. Pictured with the spoils the wife got me.

Re: LWDS (The Legion of Watch Deal Seekers)
Managed to pry the NY0040 off my wrist long enough to be compliant on Seiko Saturday with the SRP775, while I wait for my car to get its oil changed and tires rotated.
Tap. Talk. Buy a watch. Repeat.

That steak bro. I am full, yet now hungry. My God it is drool worthy. Obviously love the Carolina too, but that steak. . .Bbrou33 wrote:From last night. Carnivore compliant with a 22oz bone in ribeye

Just finished up my latest mod. Seiko powered compliance today. Big ballin' and out of my comfort zone with the two tone.

No, my wife doesn't get it. I think she looks at it as a little bit self absorbed. I wish I could remember who said that one of the things they like about this place is that we can get just as excited over a $10 Casio as a Rolex or Omega. I would buy that person a beer.
