Don't see much mention of Watches-Swiss, but they seem to have good/best pricing on these Alpina Seastrongs.
Joma has them beat on a couple, but W-S says they offer 3 year factory warranty. That seems worth the extra $22.
Alpina Seastrong Diver 300, model # AL-525LBBR4V4
Sale price is $915
List price is $1,395
I don't know why the recent spike in prices, but these Seastrong automatics could be had (granted, a couple of years ago) pretty regularly for under $500 (possibly, even under $400, if memory serves me correct?).
EDIT: I should emphasize the prices I'm recalling were from some of the grey market "usual suspects", not ADs.
I remember the same, think I missed the black version for very close to $300, IIRC. Of course that’s been some time ago, maybe longer than a couple of years, maybe 3-4. But it’s also possible that you and I sound like 2 old men screaming “get off my lawn” at the neighborhood punks.
I’m afraid the gold ole days are gone and they’re not coming back.

Found it! Yup, the "good ole days", indeed...even before Amazon started charging sales tax.
