Took my Ironman Datalink for a spin this morning to see how it was back in the day. Going online shopping for a rubber strap now...humidity here was only eighty-something-percent this morning

Helvetia dated to 1953 by serial number, a €19 non-entry for the field watch challenge. You know I consider Helvetia’s to be one of the absolute best values in vintage....basically Omega-quality movements for a fraction of the price. Aside from a bit of brass showing, this one cleaned up very nicely. Movement showing +/- 6s/day....but will have to wear a few days to confirm it can do it through changes in position.

Found one of my cotton canvas straps and put it on the momentum. I had forgotten just how light and comfortable this combo is. It’s almost like you’re not wearing a watch.
