They were a bit lower a few months ago, but not by a lot. Also, I think it's important not feel like you're not getting a good deal if you don't get the lowest price of all time. The Victorinox item prices seem pretty low. The only thing I can think of with regards to the INOX versions is they're being dumped to make way for the automatic versions?

Purchased the strap version on Monday from that seller for $182.92. It's scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

I don't think VSA is discontinuing the quartz INOX line, at least I haven't seen anything saying they are.
