I've been wanting an Eco-Drive A-T/Radio-Controlled watch for a while, and I see two different types are on clearance at Jared right now. I almost bought the Blue Angels (AT8020-54L) directly through Citizen a few months ago when they had that great sale, but I wasn't sure I could pull off the look. Jared has that model on clearance right now, as well as the cleaner AT8110-53E. I ultimately went with the Blue Angels because the knock on the 8110 is that the hands are hard to read, especially since there is no lume. The Blue Angels is $218.25 after 50% off and the $25 off code. The 8110 is $202.50 after 50% off and the $25 off code. Both on bracelets, both sapphire, chronos, and same size (43mm). The BA is 200m WR, the 8110 is 100m WR. The BA uses the H800 movement, the 8110 uses the H804 (though I'm not sure what the difference is...date window?)

Picked this up as a xmas present for the better half. No additional discount codes were accepted (as stated--but I had to try) but 2.5% back from Rakuten and 2% back from my PayPal Master Card, and no tax and free shipping puts the total around $500. Good price for a Meistersinger with a Swiss manual-wind movement. I suspect it will wear much bigger than 35mm suggests.

Do we have a thread about credit cards? As in which ones have the best rewards, cashback, etc.? Because I'm pretty happy getting 2% back but I suspect there might be something better out there that I don't know about. For example, I just signed up for a Chase Freedom card that is supposed to pay me $200 if I spend $500 in three months.

The Zeppelin automatic watches on ToM seem to have some pretty good deals actually!! They're out of stock a lot of places, and eBay prices aren't so great on them. Lots of very inflated prices on eBay actually..

Anyone else here buy the eterna super kontiki black LE deal from discount watch store a few weeks back and have issues with the watch? I wound it but the time doesn't start ticking. Also tried getting the rotor moving in circles and the time doesnt start so seems like the movement isn't functioning.
