I bought one on Black Friday. With $10 shipping, it comes to about $140.Elkins45 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 8:14 pm Deep Blue has a pretty good deal on a 40mm diver if you're in the market for one. 1000ft WR, helium release valve, NH35 movement, looks like pretty good lume. Code "fastship" gets you 40% off plus some goodies like a compass and thermometer. They have a whole bunch (like 40+) different colorways, most of which are $216 before the discount, making your final price $129.60. One of the $216 options is a mother of pearl dial.

I "needed" a yellow watch to wear while rooting for the Steelers (and maybe this summer, my local AAA baseball team). I've had DB watches before that I thought were okay, but with this model I'm super impressed with the quality. The yellow sunburst is really pretty; the ceramic bezel is sharp and clean-looking; the bezel action is awesome and alignment is perfect; the included fitted (imitation) rubber strap is comfy, soft, and doesn't attract dust. The lume lasts pretty much the whole night if you charge it right before you go to bed, and the crown action is smooth. It's a little on the thick side (NH35+300m), and it's running a little fast (though within spec) but really those are my only complaints.
The compass and thermometer are tiny little things that attach to a watch strap. The thermometer is basically illegible--the tick marks are like for every 4 or 8 degrees or some odd thing--and the compass is pretty tiny, but appeared to work. I gave them to my daughter and I haven't taken pics of them, but they're cute add-ons.
If you want to pick up a watch in a niche color, or just need a basic beater diver with all the specs for less than $200, you really can't go wrong.
