I had already ordered but thanks for this feedback! Excited for it to come in. Already thinking of what strap to throw this on.ohhenry1 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 7:00 pm I own this Seizenn diver, and while it's not perfect, I love it. At $69.20 (or $79.20 if using the manontime code), I wouldn't hesitate if you like the look.
Very quickly:
LIKES: 316L; sapphire; NH35; signed crown; properly deep black dial; quality details (hands have mixed finishing, with polished faceted sides and horizontally brushed tops; the seconds hand has a cap on it so that the spindle hole isn't showing); great bezel action, quite possibly the best out of any of my many watches (comfortable and effective grip, solid sound, just the right weight resistance, minimal play); fantastic timekeeping (I'm getting +0.2s/d over 35 days; I realize that might be luck of the draw, but I understand that Philip Li, the guy who runs Merkur/Seizenn is a real watch enthusiast, and I've heard speculation that he maybe regulates them before he sends them out); it homages the Seiko 6105-8000, the direct precursor to the Captain Willard, and a much less commonly seen design; solid finishing (radial brushing on top; high polish on sides); good lume; framed date window; not an oversized diver, so it wears very well, even on my 6.25" wrist.
NIGGLES: I center the date wheel every morning, as mine is pitched upward of center (a bit annoying, but as I like to hand wind my watch when I get up, it's not much bother, and I now view it as an endearing personality quirk instead of the flaw that it actually is, ha!); slight misalignment between 12 o'clock index and 12 o'clock minute hash; the bracelet is largely a throwaway affair
NEITHER HERE NOR THERE: bezel is aluminum and not lumed, which lags modern lumed ceramic bezels, but retains old school aesthetics, and presumably will age well (developing rugged good looks as it scratches)
So that's my personal experience. I think it's a steal. Of course, your criteria and results may vary. I would say with confidence, though, that it's not a piece of junk, and that it's a legit vendor.
A few photos I just took:

Decent prices on the recently released Seiko 5 Sports, 40mm w/o Rotating Bezels at Macy's w/ code VDAY.
SRPE61 (40mm grey, on NATO) for $198.69 (plus tax, free shipping), lowest price on CamelCamelCamel is $188 just before new years with recent lows hovering just under $210 and rarely going below $200.
SRPE55 (Black + Gilt, bracelet) also the same price, with a similar historic pricing history.

Cool. I believe the bezel is reflective. Need $99+ to use FLASH15 to take off 15% -- this will almost get you half-way there.

If anyone in the US is successful in purchasing them, please let us know. They have a couple of interesting Union Glashutte watches on sale, which without German Vat come out to around Euro 1,000 (photos below).Conchita Turtle wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 6:29 pm They have a mail: info@altherr.de
A sale is a sale, whether a customer is in your city or on the other side of the globe. Who knows, maybe they can send to the US if contacted.
nwmushroom wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 6:09 pm Some great deals at Altherr, especially if they deduct VAT. However, USA cannot be selected as a shipping destination when checking out

Unsure if they ship to US or take off VAT for US buyers, so do your due diligence if you're interested.

I e-mailed them in June last year. They ship to the US. If you contact them, they'll give you a total price that substracts VAT and includes shipping.PeteB wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 11:00 pmIf anyone in the US is successful in purchasing them, please let us know. The large bezel is a mirror. Very cool! Constant image reflections as position changes.BostonCharlie wrote:Cool. I believe the bezel is reflective. Need $99+ to use FLASH15 to take off 15% -- this will almost get you half-way there.

I'm finding it hard to pass on a watch that gives one a heroic appearance and is full of wrist.Rainshadow wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 4:38 am The well known 1963 Chinese Air-force chrono is on Ali for US $136.43, shipping included. Additional 2.75% cashback from Rakuten brings it down to US $ 133.36 total.
This is the version with beautiful acrylic bubble, sapphire costs extra. With the stunningly beautiful ST1901 movement, featuring a column wheel on display, this is a wonderful starting point for any watch collection.
Older movements without a goose neck regulator are now discounted, I've never seen such a low price. No experience with the seller but Ali's customer protection is in place.
Retail: US $317.29.
