Heads Up! I Saw A Bargain Here! 2021
Re: Heads Up! I Saw A Bargain Here! 2021
From Amazon: Timex Milano XL two-tone...$63.70, 38mm, 50M resistance, mineral glass...if I was in the market for an affordable vintage-inspired everyday watch, this is a nice-looking option. Although I probably couldn't read that tiny date window with my old eyes.

So can you explain the markings on the dial? I don't think I've seen that style before.tjcdas wrote: ↑Wed Feb 17, 2021 8:48 pmPicked this one up with a couple others during their last sale, the Navi Depth might be my favorite Timex I own.BostonCharlie wrote: ↑Wed Feb 17, 2021 6:08 pm Cool 38mm Timex Archive quartz, 100m WR, no indiglo as far as I can tell,

Something to do with diving decompression, about as important to me as a helium release valve.john_s wrote: ↑Thu Feb 18, 2021 8:47 amSo can you explain the markings on the dial? Since 99% of dive watches only desk dive I wish more watches had the bidirectional non click bezels, this would stop the issue of misaligned bezels.

Hoffman Racing 40 Panda at timebyme for $160 after code FLASH20. Watch is 40mm has a sapphire crystal and uses a seiko mecha-quartz movement. I think I'm going to pick one up for my little cousin, want to get him a cool watch for his high school grad. Anyone have one of these?
Code seems to work on all watches but I didn't see anything else that caught my eye

I got the two seasonal variants recently (blue/gray & two tone gray) since they'd been cancelled. I'm going to hold out for a deal on the one you got, but I definitely like that one best for something I'd pick up and wear.john_s wrote: ↑Thu Feb 18, 2021 4:58 pmI had trouble using my credit card but finally managed to place the order using paypal and two days later... Citizen titanium GMT, model BJ7111-86L, $300 after code REFRESH at Macy's. eBay: $398.
Update: already OOS. I was able to add to cart, before, so either I just caught the tail end or this was very popular.

Getting some Invicta vibes from this photo, lol:

I thought my joke might ruffle some feathers -- no harm meant. I haven't actually handled an Invicta, and I have always admired this model by Citizen. Truthfully, I just can't stop thinking about that meteorite dial Hydromax that nicegator was talking about.whoagorgeous wrote: ↑Thu Feb 18, 2021 8:36 pmNADBostonCharlie wrote: ↑Thu Feb 18, 2021 7:01 pm Citizen titanium GMT, model BJ7111-86L, $300 after code REFRESH at Macy's. eBay: $398.

Re: Heads Up! I Saw A Bargain Here! 2021
Offering some closure on the topic (which I suppose it’s ok to post here since I believe their President’s Day sale is still active)...I had the watch regulated by a local watchmaker and it’s now running at +3 to 4 seconds/day! More so to why I’m posting, I emailed a copy of the watchmaker’s invoice to Todd (owner of Karlskrona and Brady Straps), who in turn, without question, credited my PayPal account for the full amount. Definitely a standup guy!dumberdrummer wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 2:06 pmI know this might come across as a bit of a "review" and this isn't the correct thread for reviews; however, with the watch still available at the discounted price, I thought I'd share my findings.
So, as you probably imagine by now, I bit on this and for $379, I can recommend it. I'm not usually too big on "homage" watches, but with the only other options out there being the "reissue" from Benrus (and with all the changes they've made from the original, they're pretty much homaging themselves, lol) and the Paradive from MKII (which costs more than twice as much as this, yet what some might say is arguably "lower spec'd" than the Hemlig), I felt this was a worthy option.
Domestic shipping at $25 I felt was a little high, but I ordered it on Tuesday evening and had it on my wrist by Friday afternoon (cross-country), so I'm not complaining too much. In addition to the watch (which is nicely finished, with a good "click-y" bezel that lines up pretty much spot-on), you're also getting a $35 sailcloth Bradystrap, a VERY nice NATO with heavy-duty hardware and a nice leather(ette?) travel case that holds two watches. The only "issue" is that the accuracy (especially for a movement that is supposedly "regulated") has been pretty bad at approx +23 seconds/day. I reached out to Todd about this and MUCH TO HIS CREDIT, he was quite transparent in admitting others have complained about this as well Furthermore, he told me to have it regulated by a watchmaker and that he'd reimburse me for the cost....classy.
Here, I'm rockin' it on a Hirsch Pure.

If you have the opportunity, perhaps you could post the full story of your experience in Retailer Reviews as it will be easier for others to find if they're looking for information on Karlskrona.
