MoT's Watch Deal Forum users now have another avenue for communication: Discord!
Discord was originally created and intended as a way for gamers to share gameplay with each other. Many other sites and groups use it for its pretty robust feature-set and chat room capabilities.
The server is live now, and we hope to use it in the future for special events such as Ask Me Anything style discussions with industry insiders.
Discord can be used via any web browser or as an app for desktop (Windows, MacOS) or mobile devices (Android, iOS).

I just signed up for this......not sure how much I'll use it but it seems pretty cool. I'm not sure if you're planning to use the video chat on this for the MOT SDS. If so, it seems that feature maxes out at 10 users.
Discord has now added server video chat for all platforms, including the mobile app. You can just hop on the voice channel associated with MoT's text channel and hit the video icon. Or if you prefer, you can still just use the voice channel for a voice (audio-only) chat. Discord has also increased the capacity of video/voice chat to 25 users. Just prior to the recent change, I tried out the voice channel and had a two-minute conversation with Sporkboy about Timex Ironman deals and the strangeness of 2020. If you see me or someone else on there, pop in and say Hi.

I remember that conversation. It worked pretty well. The best part was when we were discussing the recent meat shortages you summed it up nicely with the follow quote:
“Meat is the new toilet paper.”
That is the kind of thing you miss when you don’t jump on the audio channel. I would have never guessed that. I did see that Ironman back at a bargain price for a hot second, but could never add it to my cart.
