Welcome folks! You've found the thread for all things pertaining to cheap, inexpensive, ultra affordable watches. This is the place to post your pics/photos, reviews, discoveries, recommendations, questions, thoughts, ramblings, etc about watches that cost $20 USD or less. Sorry, this is not the place to post about free or gifted watches. Watches that range from more than nothing all the way up to $20 is the sweet spot. Maybe $20 is your whole budget for watches for the entire year........start here. Maybe you snagged a deal on ebay for less than a Jackson. Show it off and brag about it in this thread......doesn't matter if it's new or used. Bruised and battered beaters are welcome. Timex, Casio, Armitron, an old thrashed Vostok, HMT redials, quartz, digitals, old hand-crankers, Ali-Ex specials, fashion watches, crimes against horology, whatever you got.....this is the spot. Maybe you have a question or recommendation about a watch that generally sells for less than a dub......post here!
First up is one of my beaters that has been used and abused for years but still works like a charm......my Casio MRW200H-1BV. Casio's product page shows a price of $24.95 but Casio is selling it HERE on ebay for $19 and I think I paid in the $10-15 range 6 to 8 years ago. I definitely got my money's worth. It's been a casual everyday watch, my work watch, a gym/exercise watch, an outdoors/camping/hiking watch. Usually if I'm going in the water I wear a watch with a screw-down crown but this one says 100m resistance and has survived many a dip in the pool. And if it ever gets damaged, $20 or less gets you a brand new one. Very, very legible too. I recently ran across a Youtube review HERE where a watchmaker calls it the "Best Value Watch In The World." Thinking about picking up a Breitling Colt Skyracer? Forget it! Get yourself one of these instead. The image at the bottom shows some of the other variants of the MRW-200H-1BV. I really doubt I'm the only one here that owns one of these. Anyone else? Any other bargain basement buyers out there? Whaddya got?!
