Gemnation promo voting thread

In another exciting twist in the ascending evolution of the MoT forum, we have the opportunity to tell Gemnation.com which Eterna watch we would like an MoT promo code just for us.

I am not affiliated with Gemnation in any way, shape, or form. I just know that they are flexible and seem to be willing to entertain us.

It’s possible that we discuss models here until we have a few to vote on. Or maybe everyone just agrees.

Keep in mind we have no idea how enticing to promo will be. The main objective for me is to bring lurkers out and get people to join. Let’s see how it turns out. We can discuss until we’re tired of it and proceed.

I don’t see any reason we can’t ask again for another brand after we do the Eterna. This could be fun. LOL

Good work! That is a great idea! I am trying my best to not buy watches, but a great deal on an Eterna might get me to sell some watches. I am interested in seeing what the general consensus on which watch to choose. You are right, this could be fun!

I have no skin in the game as a lot of the more popular Eternas are out of my league financially, but I am interested in the results.

Maybe I could sell a kidney or something.

I’m not sure whether to push for a promo on one that’s already a good deal, or just shoot for the moon and decide which one we really like.

I already really like this one at $740, but it is far too similar to my AT in appearance for me to justify it. Maybe thats why I like it!

I'm guessing this is something they already have in stock and with sufficient qty?

I see they have a few KonTiki Tangaroas at a decent enough price that would be more attractive with a discount.
Or Eternity models that start really getting out of my comfort zone.

Would it be easier if they gave us a list of potential models and then we could narrow it down?
Wondering if that would be easier than collectively deciding on a watch only to find out there is only a couple in stock and they can't get any more.

I think the ticket would be to shoot for the moon, then wait for it to go on sale and spring into action with the code. Hopefully it would work on sale items!

That Blue/White one I posted above is $2900 - a bit more than I can shake out of my couch at any given time.

So, this all came up because I was talking about the Eterna that I bought there.

We were offered an Eterna code as a result.

I suppose it’s entirely possible that we could ask for anything.

Gemnation does that. They’ll let it sit at full price and rotate them through sales and daily deals.

I think we can probably look at eBay or others and expect a slightly better deal. Who knows though. It could be crazy, in a good or bad way.
