Lots of timex Q deals, so here's another

Timex Todd Snyder Q for $119 at longislandwatch. If you recently signed up for their giveaway you should have received a coupon for another 5% off which makes it $113.

Somebody please buy that one before I have another major lapse in monetary discipline:

Frederique Constant Perpetual Calendar for 2.5K from Certified Watch Store, EBAY:

These are insane value at list ($9K), and are utterly ridiculous value at discounted prices. There's no other new QP anywhere near that price and in twenty years of collecting that's the best value for a Swiss grand complication that I've ever come across.

Black Bulova Computron for a pretty low price if you're willing to take the chance it's not all scratched up (they take no hassle free returns...)
10% off if you buy 2 or more from the category, so about 108 after that...you have to hit the button for it to display the time, according to reviews.

An incredible watch from their signature collection that sold at Macy's for less than this a couple of years back, I love mine so much I never wear it for fear of scratching it...too bad they will send it to you in a watch box that will scratch it up en route, about 75% of the time, but it may be worth a try, you might just get lucky...plus that 10% off if you find another watch to buy with it..

PS: They do not ship the Federica Constante to Europe. My pocket breathes a sigh of relief... If one day they decide to ship overseas (and here the FCs are sold at full price), I would be left with the consolation that there would be almost 3 years left to see the justification of the complication, a February 29th.

Worth noting that this is pre-owned and designated Grade B (has minor scratches and may not have original box, according to the description). Also no mention of warranty.

Doesn't necessarily change the good price and a potential deal, but for future servicing a complicated movement like that, the buyer should take all that into account.

I bought the solid gold sibling... will be difficult to explain to the wife why I need two. I don't think the "It's inventory for sale at an unspecified future date, after I give it a try" will work for another 2.5k watch.

I have a suspicion that they were selling some display models as "brand new" because they didn't check the inventory when they bought it (the vast majority of their stuff is cheap quartz stuff) and somehow got flack for it, because there was a clear delineation when all of a sudden they posted a ton of their inventory as "used" on Ebay, with the same watches also available for slightly more as new.

The description they use is generic and almost always the same as the words you quoted. It's an educated guess, but these pieces are probably store display models or have damaged or missing boxes, etc., which often happens with display models. I've bought several watches from them before--they are sometimes difficult to communicate with when dealing directly with, even when trying to buy, which I found odd. Most dealers usually don't want to hear from you post-sale, not pre-sale.
