The black dial SBDC087 will have a cyclops and the Prospex X logo on the dial. I'm guessing all three of them will.pgcity wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2019 12:36 amHope this doesn't become a feared "Limited Edition" and take it beyond the realm of affordability.AndroidIsAwesome wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2019 11:44 pm GUYSSSSSSSSSS GUESS WHAT
New Seiko Alpinists!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am hyped despite the huge price jump
Edit: estimated price is $700 USD. So a LOT for an Alpinist. But honestly I'll take the hit and buy one I think
Saw this from someone on Facebook, but seiya Japan posted this:
Seiya Japan lists following colorways and model numbers which could possibly change too
SBDC091
Green dial + Brown leather strap -- 75000 Yen
SBDC089
White dial + Black leather strap -- 75000 Yen. Poster going by the nickname Amphibian on an Italian watch forum has a good name for this one. - Albinist can check it here https://orologi.forumfree.it/?t=76944276
SBDC087
Black dial + SS bracelet -- 77000 Yen
You beat me to it. Was going to make a separate thread about it because I have leaks of the green and white ones too. Overall I see what direction Seiko was thinking, but man it would look better without the Xyinzburgher wrote:The black dial SBDC087 will have a cyclops and the Prospex X logo on the dial. It looks like they are taking the design back to the look of the old Red Alpinists minus the weird hour hand.
A separate thread would be cool. Any watches from this thread that garner enough interest could have their own thread.....and I would think the Alpinist would. Even if the first post is just copied and pasted stuff from here. Looking forward to seeing the green and white.AndroidIsAwesome wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 11:29 pmYou beat me to it. Btw the other colors don't have the same dial layouts at least according to the leaks
I think the hour hand on the new rendering is the same as the SARB017 and the SPB089. I've only seen that crazy-looking one on vintage Alpinists like the one pictured above.whoagorgeous wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 11:32 pm Man, that hour hand though.
I do love the red Alpinist text.

Why would they put a diver's elapsed time bezel on the Cresta when it's a fixed bezel? Seems pretty useless. They should have made it a Tachymeter bezel like the rest of the lineup.yinzburgher wrote:Farer has released a trio of new chronographs with a relatively new Sellita Elaboré grade manual wind movement. great looking watches. does the black one come without the text on the bottom? I don't know, the article didn't say. I noticed that as well and am wondering if that's a production prototype and didn't have the text, or if they're intentionally leaving it off only the black version.TCAL4404 wrote:great looking watches. does the black one come without the text on the bottom?
