I have more shoes than watches: Sad.

So do I.
But I have 100 pair of Converse, so that's another problem/addiction entirely....
Is there a Converse collectors forum?
Diversification opportunity?

I have more watches than...well, anything. Sad.
I am with you here. I usually pick my shirt first, and then decide which one of my watches matches best. Almost 2 matching watches for every shirt lol. I do however have more underwear and socks than anything else. Repercussions of living as a bachelor for years without a washer/dryer. Dirty socks and boxers? Just buy some more. Eff doing laundry. I can probably get rid of 75% of them now that a have a washer/dryer and a woman who doesn't mind doing it.

That reminds me: I never learned how to iron, and before I discovered non-iron shirts, I bought my mom a ticket once a year to βsee the grandkidsβ and βteach me how to iron by exampleβ, so needless to say I had enough shirts to last in between visits.

Your routine is backwards from what it should be. Pick the watch, then the shirt and pants to match

Going to be driving up to VA to celebrate the high school graduation of the wife's nephew (nephew in law?!?).
Anyway, we're breaking up the trip by stopping in High Point, NC overnight.
Part of me really wants to take some time in the morning to swing by and meet Fred at Bernhardt since I'm in the area.

I've realized recently that the only things I have in my life that could be considered luxury are my watches. Recently I found myself wearing Costco Khaki shorts, a $7 Target polo and some amazon lightning deal Adidas. And my AT. The best part is that people are far more likely to notice my cheap ass clothes than my expensive watch and I kinda like it that way.

Often, after looking at my watch I still don't know what time it is.
I know this because a couple months ago I got through half the day before I realized I'd set my watch to the wrong time. Which is actually the real confession. I am the weakest link. :-/

Watches and the occasional really good deal ($25) on some Chucks (shout out JohnP) are about all I buy for myself.
The other day my wife got on me about wearing a well worn A-Shirt and said "you buy all these expensive watches but you can't buy some new undershirts".
I drive a 2005 SUV to work every day and my wife and kids have a 2018 Odyssey to use. Selling my watches would likely get me into a pretty good daily driver vehicle, lol. [emoji38]
Pic of new watch with new Chucks from today [emoji106]

A watch I really like and a great deal make a purchasing sucker out of me! And when I'm on a roll it doesn't have to be that likable of a watch or that good a deal.
There must be a mathematical formula or logical principle that explains this. Perhaps something to do with Jupiter being in the 7th house, the laws of nature or simply the blessings of being a wIs. You think?
