Re: WRUW
Yeah Tapatalk is really awful these days. I'm tempted to install an older version of it instead and see if it still worksmplsabdullah wrote:Android. Real shame what Tapatalk is doing. Free app should just have ads like most other apps do. Every update they keep making things more restrictive.ManOnTime wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2019 10:01 amiPhone?mplsabdullah wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2019 9:06 am Free version of Tapatalk is now limiting the amount of photo uploads per month and for whatever reasons when I use the website directly from my phone the photos end up sideways.
If so, it's a known iPhone bug with the way it handles exif data. Something about how it interprets the relative positioning of the phone rather than the absolute. Or something like that.

I'm having the same issue and using a Pixel 3XL. About ready to uninstall Tapatalk. Just wish my photos wouldn't post sideways through chrome. Yesterday I took the photo sideways to position it correctly.mplsabdullah wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2019 9:06 am Free version of Tapatalk is now limiting the amount of photo uploads per month and for whatever reasons when I use the website directly from my phone the photos end up sideways.
Re: WRUW
Interesting.
Using my Pixel 4 I just did a test post in a testing area I have set-up here, and the pic I took while holding the phone in portrait (vertical) posted sideways, while the image I took while holding landscape (horizontal) posted as desired.
That could be why I've never noticed it. I always take images and videos in landscape.

How are liking the Pixel 4? I've heard the battery life isn't that great, but the camera is awesome. Thinking of maybe upgrading.ManOnTime wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2019 11:04 am Interesting.

I tried uploading a pic on my desktop browser, but the file is too large. This is getting crazy!
Re: WRUW
Battery life so far is comparable to my Pixel 3, so not the greatest (my iPhone 11 Pro lasts much longer), but acceptable for my use.Stretch44 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2019 11:32 amHow are liking the Pixel 4? I didn't do the XL this time around. I'm finding that screen sizes above 6" are just too cumbersome for me.
The camera is phenomenal. Google really is leading the way when it comes to mobile image processing. The other new features (live captioning, Soli radar, on-board machine processing, etc) are pretty slick as well.
There is a version of the Pixel 4's camera software that is installable on the 3. I did a quick shot the night before last using the Astrophotography mode. Not the best night for it, or an ideal framing, but the difference between the two is remarkable. These images are straight off the phones, no retouching.

These pics were taken at roughly 10:30pm. To my eye the image from the Pixel 4 has more detail, is sharper and brighter overall.

I agree, Pixel 4 looks way better. Darn it! And here I thought I was going to be able to pass on this years release...ManOnTime wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2019 11:44 amBattery life so far is comparable to my Pixel 3, so not the greatest (my iPhone 11 Pro lasts much longer), but acceptable for my use.Stretch44 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2019 11:32 amHow are liking the Pixel 4? Re: WRUW
Regarding TapaCrap. The best advice I can give is do not EVER upgrade the app provided you are happy with the current version you use.
Inevitably it will be worse and features you once had will be gone. I learned that the hard way and definitely will not be upgrading again, especially if they are now limiting the number of photos you upload from your phone.

That pixel 4 photo is incredible!
