I’m insulated in North America. What is that?
Toyota Landcruiser 120 series (called Prado in Australasia and South Africa).

So, I heard something interesting recently. The North American Camry/Avalon/LexusES are all made right down the road from me. An engineer told me that the life cycle of a normal Toyota is 10 years and that the life cycle of the Landcruiser is 20 years. That why they’re $60K here.
Thoughts?

Like Robotaz said, we don't get that one here in North America.
What we do get is the J200 Land Cruiser/Lexus LX twins.

I was told they’re so expensive because they share no parts with other Toyotas and their life cycle is double other models.

This is more of a car confession than a photo, but hey, this is basically the car thread here.
I get borderline aroused when I hear a turbo spooling in a car that I know never came with a turbo. For example, the other day at a stoplight, a Honda S2000 pulled across the intersection at WOT and all I heard was the sound of a massive turbo spooling accompanied by a symphony of wastegate noises upon upshift. It was glorious.

You need to go to some of the things I go to. Boost all day every day.

S2000 didn’t come with a turbo. Whatever they had in it was a serious power plant. The S2000 is like a crotch rocket on 4 wheels. It’s a very fun car to drive.

Going to a local car show tomorrow with the father in law. I will be sure to take some pics. There was an F40 there last year that I drooled over for a while.
