Another tip is to request a movement picture if not already included in the original listing.
If they can't/won't provide, ensure there is a return option.

Great example of a beautiful watch...the original of the recently re-issued Longines Heritage.

Longines solid silver trench watch from 1915 with 13.34 gilt movement - shipping from Australia - for $926, offers accepted.
Note: Dial, hands, crown and case appear to be original and in very good condition, owner claims to have had it for 20 years.
URL: https://www.ww1trenchwatch.com/store/p4 ... Watch.html

Edit: This listing replace a previous on that was too overpriced to be a deal. That one is here...a good example of a seller using historical puffery and conjecture to artificially inflate price: https://picclick.com/Antique-1918-Solid ... 65214.html

Another spot that some folks may want to check for vintage is on Etsy.
Can't say this is a true deal or not, but it sure is pretty.

For instance, here's a vintage 1957 Jaeger LeCoultre bumber automatic for $550
https://www.etsy.com/listing/549489747/ ... bumper-cal

From the description:
"1950's Jaeger LeCoutre wrist watch is beautiful. The Art Deco case is 10K yellow gold filled, the movement is a LeCoultre Bumper Automatic, P812 with 17 jewels. Back of watch is monogrammed " To Paul H. Fanning, n appreciation of service, 1948 to 1957, Carthage Special Road District." Made by the legendary Jaeger LeCoutre the watch is running & has a unique feeling when the automatic movement is moved. The band is new leather."

The seller (MissouriGirlVintage) has 5 stars with 110 reviews.

Note - All Sales are final

Condition in my eyes:
The crown is a replacement from a Longines.
The movement looks like it could use a cleaning.
Crystal and case could use a polish.
And I know some folks are not fond of personalize/engraved watches, so keep that in mind.
