I got an CHIYODA watch winder, the price is decent. Works great now and quiet. I like the pattern the wood box finished. Hope it can be lasting running for more years.

Found an auction for a Zodiac Kingline with a real high beat movement, as the dial lists 36,000 & Chronometer on it.

Starting bid is $148.60

According to the listing the watch is being sold by the original owner.

From the description:

"Way back in 1970 this was a high school graduation gift from my mother. 99% sure it was purchased at Neiman Marcus's flagship downtown Dallas store. Anyway, it was my everyday watch for many years, and is showing appropriate wear. I have been the sole owner of this watch. Absolutely runs beautifully. Watch is "Automatic", meaning that as long as you are wearing it, your movements self-wind the watch. Date window updates itself at midnight, manual changes via pushing in on the stem. Anti-magnetic, water and shock resistant. The watch's works were professionally cleaned about 10 years ago.

The crystal is in near-perfect condition (lighting is bad in the photos), with one minor scratch on the side between the date window and stem.

Zodiac Vintage Kingline 3600 Watch - Gold Case. Condition is Pre-owned. Genuine Lizard band included, but the metal clasp is fairly well corroded. Watch deserves a new band anyway, right?"

That particular metal field is not a deal. I found one for ~$10 on eBay and it is fairly common. I did notice that this mine was pot metal and not brass for some reason.

Some metal fields are desirable, as Wolfsatz noted in the PIF thread, but the one that he was talking about was one of the shock versions with greater WR. It may also be a stainless case, but I am not sure about that.

Thanks for the benefit of your experience! I see what you mean...this is not the shock resistant model that Wolfsatz posted. Now I understand why he said it was getting harder to find...the model above is fairly common.

New models are going for $80. While it is not the shock resistant model, it still looks to be perhaps a slight deal (especially if the seller will accept a lower offer). But if these do come on ebay for $10 as you experienced, perhaps the patient buyer will be rewarded with a better deal on it.

Please do your own research. I am far from an expert on vintage Seiko prices but in the past I have seen these go for more. The seller has been gradually lowering the sale price.

Used Seiko 7t32 quartz alarm chronograph, $40 + $4 S&H. In one of the photos it appears that some of the gold finish has worn off.

I emailed the seller: "Good looking watch. How are the alarm and chronograph functions working? What is the condition of the crystal? Does it keep good time. Thank you for taking time to answer." His reply: "Hello, yes watch is working good, all functions. Crystal looks pretty clean. Thanks Joe"

34mm quartz alarm chronograph by Wired, which is apparently Pulsar which is Seiko. Billed as a women's watch, I think a guy could pull it off. Seller is fairly new and doesn't have many reviews. Returns not accepted. Listed as NWT, but doesn't look 'brand new' to me -- and it's an old model, so maybe NOS? Anyhow, could be fun if the seller accepted a nice, low offer. Asking $80 OBO.
