Got my 2 Engwe’s. Thought they may be refurbs but they are brand new bikes. Pretty impressed for ~$640 each, 28mph and the convenience of folding. Already started modding……of course.

I sleep on this daily (lol single dude life) and can confirm it's excellent, at least on the firmest setting (my preference). The quiet pump keeps it inflated at all times. After over a year, the center has bowed in a little bit, but nothing to break my back.

Not trying to start a debate……if this helps someone great, if not….well I tried. How we went from natural diamonds to lab created to moissanite.


Been buying lab created diamonds for a few years. Our local jeweler (family friend) actually educated us and it use to be 50-60% less than natural and now is regularly 65-75% less for lab vs. natural. For Christmas this year I bought my wife a Diamond Anniversary band, 5 emerald cut diamonds, .98 to 1.03 carats each for just under $3,500. Stones are all H/I color - VS1 to VS2. So not perfect, but perfect to the naked eye. After 39 years together I surprise her with jewelry that she picks out. She does the same for me with watches.


A few weeks ago we’re at the jewelry store and we see a tennis necklace. It’s a stunner and my wife is drooling………I’m seeing a fire sale on all my watches to buy this thing for my wife coming quickly in my future. The stones in this necklace are around a half carat and noticeably more sparkly than the bracelets and rings around it. Our jeweler sees my wife’s eyes and immediately moves to the case. He pulls the necklace out and we compare to my wife’s rings and stones - hers are a mixture of some natural and some lab diamonds but all good quality. Every stone in that necklace looks better. Is it CZ, some new cut, no. It’s then that I learn about moissanite.


Moissanite has carbon - like lab created diamonds - but it also has silica which helps intensify the brilliance. With diamonds (lab or natural) hitting 10 on the hardness scale, Moissanite is 9.25 and will test Diamond-positive with most hand-testers. Our jeweler gave me a link to read,

So apologies for the long story and hopefully I have a decent reputation for doing my homework before I post something. Not to say I’ve never stubbed my toe, but I do try to get the facts first. So here’s where I think you can reliably source some high quality, low cost Moissanite jewelry if you are so interested. There are several sellers and they are clearly marketing to a demographic that likes ‘iced jewelry’ and you have to hunt for tennis necklaces and bracelets within their sites. I checked out more than 10 online stores and their pricing + reviews and landed on…


The guu shop - terrible name - is likely China-based and/or China-sourcing and reviews on their jewelry are really high. Trust Pilot has them at 4.8 stars with over 1,800 reviews and their prices are 1/2 what others are charging - I checked and compared. I ended up buying a Tennis necklace that most charged $900 to $1,300 for.
