that CW Sealander Elite looks sexy as hell! titanium case, quite thin, "hidden" crown, goldilocks size... it will probably be one of the most wearable and comfortable sports watches ever. and those dial "cutouts" are really funky! like a budget, sporty Minase :) I'm really liking...

I thought it's pretty well known that 10ATM does not mean you can scuba dive to 100m, and it's not appropriate for scuba diving. i really don't get the Seiko pricing even at that premium level. i mean, that LE Alpinist is $2900 and has inside a 6L35, which is really barely more than Seiko's "clone" of the 2892 (same specs in every way. for those who don't know, it even originates as a drop in replacement for the 289...

NAD. Every Alpina (i have many) I received from OWD is probaly brand new. They even have clear palastics on them. There is just a white label out of the box says refurbished. That is it. Citizen's are different story, they come in generic (like Victorinox boxes of tjmaxx) boxes. I received only one...

I saw that looking at more pics. So the hesalite doesn't have an applied logo? That it very odd. There was $1,000 difference with the last reference. I was happy about that as I wanted the hesalite anyway. You made the correct choice. Hesalite/acrylic is the proper material for tool watch crystals....

just like the new 62mases, these will be in the 1000-1200 range, so expect 800-900 used. somehow Seiko convinced the world that their distinctly average 6R range of movements coupled with their notorious QC issues is worthy of the >1k range (now, if they put in the 6Ls...)
