On this July 4th it is worthwhile reminding ourselves of the words of Benjamin Franklin as recorded by James McHenry (1753-1816) while he was a Maryland delegate to the Constitutional Convention.

A lady asked Franklin, "[W]hat have we got a republic or a monarchy?"

His reply: "A republic if you can keep it.”

Plus we don't have Bo on staff.
Confession, kinda random association, or not: I first read BO, not Bo.

On a related note, I feel like using antiperspirtant is not that great for the body but man I do need it sometimes haha

I don’t mind someone being heavy handed with me as long as it’s applied equally. He just mistook my attempt at humor as insulting I guess. Maybe his wrist is tiny. I don’t know. But what I do know is that place is like a shooting gallery with people sniping each other with a Twitter-esque rudeness and abrasiveness. And for whatever reason it goes on, gets worse and worse, and appears to be part of the MO there now. New people over there just get demolished, and that bothers me because watches are for everyone and you have to start somewhere. I would argue that the new people are actually the most important. I’ve asked countless stupid questions, made countless stupid comments, owned countless stupid watches, etc. I think we need a peace and cooperation March in DC. “The Million WIS March”. lol

A good old fashion he said she said

On a sun express flight a crew member was in for a surprise. How this escapes Q.C. is something else. Looks like it was killed (sliced) and then lost in the greens? Or was this done later? Idk but glad it's not my meal

Airline:
“It is our top priority that the services we provide to our guests on our aircraft are of the highest quality and that both our guests and employees have a comfortable and safe flight experience. The allegations and shares in the press regarding in-flight food service are absolutely unacceptable and a detailed investigation has been initiated on the subject. Until the research process in question is concluded, all preventive measures and actions, including stopping the supply of the relevant product, have been taken immediately.”
Catering company
“SunExpress Airlines is a valuable client in our country and a popular airline in Europe, which recently decided to further expand its fleet and route network. They again announced a tender for catering services on board. We did not use any of the foreign objects that were supposedly in the food when cooking (due to the technical and thermal conditions used in the in-flight catering facilities).”

There’s not an outlet behind the air filter, but there is also an Ethernet cable running along both walls. I love clever people who go though the trouble to bring us elegant solutions.

I like this one a lot better than the quarter round solutions as long as there aren’t too many cables. My theater speakers won’t fit in this when I cram lamp cords in.

MSP yesterday. Avoid spike strip by hitting a concrete wall at high speeds. Brilliant!!!

Further, they all suffered injuries that might be more serious than they realize.

Not sure why MSP has seen such an increase in crime but it's unfortunate and hopefully over time things come down

No one got my reference on WUS. Lol. They must think I'm posting some random sports take.

Hey, you got it!

Seems like I qualify for $20k (not sure yet). I'll owe nothing in student debt after I pay the rest off.

I worked a second job for 1 year and held it. I won't owe a dime after this.

Debt free feels good, man. I used to be so poor, I couldn't afford candy bars at the grocery store with friends in grade school. Thankfully the metrodome was so crappy I still got in to the bleacher seats for under $10 a few times.

I feel good for you.

But don't go all crazy on watches now.

Then again, if you do go all crazy, watches are the way to go.

Sometimes you get the bear, and that's a fact, so I congratulate you on your windfall. Update to add that there could be some legal challenges, so I wouldn't count those chickens just yet, but it's hard to imagine getting that genie back into the bottle -- or, rather, chickens back into the eggs, lol.

Now I wish he would cancel the national debt. ;-)
