Why are 2 watches of mine still sitting at FedEx 7 minutes away from my house since 6PM Sunday?

Lol. So maybe Musk should have offered Putin stock in Tesla instead of a cage match.

Russian tank crewman surrenders with his tank to Ukrainian Armed Forces for $10,000 reward
Earlier, the Ukrainian defense concern Ukroboronprom announced that it was ready to pay a one-million-dollar reward for a stolen or captured Russian aircraft and $500 thousand for a captured helicopter in working condition.
Update to speculate that China is secretly helping Ukraine's army in order to kneecap Russia and turn it into a vassal state.

If there's a punch line for this I can't think of it.

Is this child abuse?

Okay, for real though.... not cool. I hope karma hits him hard.

Admittedly I only spent a couple minutes, but I didn’t see anything about why the dad did it or if it was mean spirited. But that’s quite a bit of money for a hockey stick.

I was being sarcastic about the child abuse part. Still a crappy dad though.

Apparently the dad is teaching is kid a lesson and that's all we have to go off of. So who knows.

With that said you can buy a game used stick at the hockey lodge for $800 or so. Plus, these are given to kids for free.. because they're kids. In no way is it meant for adults to profit from. If he's truly teaching his kid a lesson he can donate the stick to the Children's Hospital in St. Paul or some other charity of his choice.

It's disingenuous and reeks of a B.S. justification for why someone is trying to profit off his kid. Makes you wonder if he forced the little guy to stand near the ice and act. Sadly, this is common for parents to use their children even at the minor levels.

Also, if they can blow the cash for a hockey game several times a week, they don't need the money.

Edit:

Imagine your kid won an Olympic Speedmaster used at the Olympics for free. Then it became a cherished item of him. Maybe he wears it before every peewee track meet

However, he becomes so enamored with it he fails a history test (or maybe you just want the money for yourself).

So, you take the Speedmaster and sell it on ebay for 3x the going rate.

Who knows exactly what's going but it seems off. This is cringe behavior for the dad ruining his kids day or more. The kid might take that loss very hard.

Edit 2: I don't like judging someone on the internet I dont know though. The truth is I wasn't there and maybe it's going back to the kid. Or the kid got it but doesn't really care about it.

Saw a DHL truck pull into my complex this evening.

First thought was, "wait, did I buy a watch and forget?"
Next thought was, "wonder if one of my neighbors bought a watch?"

---------

If it were a FedEx truck, it would be delivering a watch to the wrong doorway.

When was the last time you saw a happy hour $2 Yuengling? It’s small, but it’s the thought that counts.

The last time I saw Yuengling, period, was the last time I was in Wilmington, Delaware about five years ago.

Kind of jealous.

Haha, I have friends who are big fans from the days of limited distributing back before micros and brew laws took off.

My friend in western KY had a huge farm in McClean Co with a hunting bunkhouse where they brought in friends and business colleagues and I remember back in 1990 and prior they had Yuengling cases shipped in and stacked to the ceilings in that house. I hadn’t heard of it before that. I know fans are loyal.

Obed Wild and Scenic River Natl Recreation Area. This is near where I live and where I moved in 2004 from Arizona and started a small gas production company after engineering school. Feels great to be back.

This is a brewery on the other side of the canyon at a private campground. If you ever drive through anywhere near east TN see if you have time to stop by. Worth the detour.

Coffee is the best. I ran out of whole bean so I slow brewed supermarket pre-ground Community coffee in my moka pot, and it is hitting a home run.

Elsewhere, this guy suggests arming Ukrainians with laser pointers.

Mid Range phones are getting rid of the headphone jack. Rumor is the Google Pixel 6a has no headphone jack either.

I've been anti-Apple for a long time but I'm considering Apple or Pixel for my next phone. Samsung is just a copy cat now.
