UNSUCCESSFUL : Kickstarter: Siduna - Expedition Automatic Chronograph Collection

Post by TheJohnP »

Siduna is a historic brand resurrected by Woodshores, a watch industry consultation firm, based out of Sweden.
This is the first Kickstarter from Siduna, but they have released another model directly through their website.
There is a LOT of marketing fluff in this campaign, expect nothing less from a watch industry consultation firm, but it looks like they are trying to release some quality product.

Night Owl pricing for silver or blue dial versions is around $1,089
Early Bird pricing for all dial versions is around $1,206
Kickstarter pricing is around $1,289
No mention of what regular price will be

Estimated delivery is April 2022

The two main colorways are the sterling silver plating and blue sunburst, but they plan to offer two other color: champagne with Roman numerals and black with Arabic numerals.

The campaign also makes a BIG deal that about 90% of the watch is made and assembled in Europe.
So if that matters to you, there you go.

The SIDUNA Expedition Chronograph is certified Made in Europe and comes with a 24 month international warranty on material and craftsmanship:

- Watches are assembled, tested and visually inspected in the European Union and comply with industry standards.
- Movements are made in the world heritage city of La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, and are based on the architecture of the Valjoux 7750, which was the first watch movement and the first integrated chronograph ever designed on computer.
- Cases are made in austenitic 316L stainless steel.
- Dials and hands are made by REACH compliant Hong Kong owned factories that supply numerous Swiss brands.
- Straps are made by LIC in Belgium.
- Buckles are made by Oesch GmbH in the Aargau canton, Switzerland.
- Boxes are made in China.

Far and wide I will find 'em and I ride 'em
Bricks and mortar get my licks just for kicks
AD or authorized I don't analyze
Retail, wholesale never fail
Online or offline, I find I don't redefine
Too big to fail or yard sale they all hale
Run or hide just for fun deals I find
