As you may have noticed, we we're offline this morning. This was caused by the "Thanks" plug-in going rogue and using up way too many server resources. This triggered an automatic suspension by our hosting provider as they thought it was a malicious attack. The "Thanks" plug-in has been disabled, hopefully temporarily so I can determine if that was indeed the cause, and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.

I apologize for the disruption and for any confusion that may have caused.

SUCCESSFUL : Kickstarter: Interstellar - RED3,721 Collection, Inspired by NASA’s Mars Perseverance Mission

Post by TheJohnP »

Interstellar, out of Belgium, have launched their first Kickstarter for their debut collection, the RED3,721. A NASA approved watch, inspired by their Mars Perseverance Mission.

There are too many options. Too much marketing fluff. Too much story. Too much, much.
But if you're really into space stuff, this may be a watch for you.

Kickstarter pricing with NASA logo & Miyota movement is around $396
Regular pricing will be about $540

Kickstarter pricing with Mars meteorite dust & Miyota movement is around $482
Regular pricing will be about $658

Kickstarter pricing with NASA logo & Sellita movement is around $889
Regular pricing will be about $1,507

Kickstarter pricing with Mars meteorite dust & Sellita movement is around $964
Regular pricing will be about $1,635

Estimated delivery is November 2022

In honor of humanity’s advancements and exceptional achievements in space travel, INTERSTELLAR, powered by Col&MacArthur is launching a new timepiece. The RED3,721, approved by NASA, telling the story of the "Perseverance"; NASA mission.

“Red” refers to the, sometimes, name given to Mars. The figure “3,721” corresponds to the gravity of the planet observed during NASA mission.

The RED3,721 is available in either a black or silver case. With either a NASA logo or Martian meteorite dust. Steel case with a Miyota movement or titanium case with a Sellita movement.

And just to take this too much watch over the top, they're going to send it to the upper atmosphere before it gets to your wrist.

To make this timepiece even rarer, we propose to send your "RED3,721" into near space at an altitude of 30km. In direct contact with an environment that is close to -60°C and a pressure close to 0.

The watch is collected by a company specialized in this field, and then delivered to you in perfect condition with a certificate authenticating the altitude of the flight.

What is the environmental cost of sending a watch to **** space for no reason??
I wish that watch were 38mm?
