Run or hide just for fun deals I find

Re: PREORDER: Kickstarter: Neotype Watches - LM01 Type D Collection
@TheJohnP Thanks for the nudge to share my thoughts. Overall I can recommend this at the early bird pricing but not at above that price. The watch was very well built with a good amount of originality. There are some unique aspects that I thought that I would like but turned out to not be a fan of after using it for a couple weeks.
One of the biggest issues I had with the watch was the curved bezel. There are angles in which it is not completely visible. Another issue I had was how slender the lugs taper. The case was rather bulbous but the lugs come to almost a sharp point. Because of the slender taper the thick rubber strap was quite a bit thicker than the case and looked a little weird. I know that sounds really ticky tack but it was enough for me to notice at quick glance.
Some positives that I noticed were the sandwich dial, large/easy to use crown, bezel action, standard lug width. I can't speak to the packaging or how the company will handle issues given that they are based in France but in my limited interaction with the owner he seemed pretty responsive.
I'm more than happy to provide more depth if requested from a forum member but in summary I think it is a "good change of pace" watch. I would not buy this as a one watch kind of piece or even if you only have a couple watches. This kind of watch is something you buy when you have a handful of similar watches and want something with a bit more originality but also something that you aren't tied to everyday.
Hopefully this helps someone.
