I never really understood how gray market watch retailers operated and obtained their inventory until I saw this video. I figured others might appreciate it as well.
As you may have noticed, we we're offline this morning. This was caused by the "Thanks" plug-in going rogue and using up way too many server resources. This triggered an automatic suspension by our hosting provider as they thought it was a malicious attack. The "Thanks" plug-in has been disabled, hopefully temporarily so I can determine if that was indeed the cause, and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.
I apologize for the disruption and for any confusion that may have caused.

Re: The Gray Market, Explained
Great market have changed a lot lately. In the past, many dealers purchased watches directly from ADs. However, it become much harder to buy Rolex from one specific Rolex AD, unless you are smart and dont' get caught reselling the watches from them very fast.
If you resell watches after 6+ months because you did not really enjoy the watch, its not necessary a reason to get banned, unless they find out your "online" sellers profile than they will stop let you resell the watches. I know many people who got banned from several ADs like that.
What the Grey dealers do know, is to have "a lot of friends" who go and buy watches from various ADs for them. They do not have only one person buying the watches, but they have many people who do not mind to get some cut to get the watch to the Grey Market dealer.
