Day 4, I've swapped out the lizard strap for a brown fluorine rubber one that I think goes particularly well with this watch.

Day 4 and I am in the office. Here we have a batch of 20 freshly 3Dprinted G-Shock adapters (16mm to 22mm).

Day 5:
Yesterday was hard for me as it was my late FIL’s birthday and I usually wear his watch. It is in need of a service, so the desire to wear his watch yesterday was tempered.

Today I got half of my Barton order. It is very stiff, but I hope that it breaks in nicely.

I am changing all the bulbs in the rental to LED bulbs. They are so freaking efficient, I love them. Especially now that they are cheap and reliable (this shot's from yesterday).

Here I am screwing around at Costco while my wife picks up her new glasses. The word is that glasses (and hearing aids) are quite the deal at Costco.

Well, guys, after a few days I am sorry to say that I have to back out of my promise to post 10 deals this month. . .

. . .because 10 is too easy. After MoT posted the stats for July I saw I posted 8 deals last month. And that was without trying too hard tbh. So my new goal is 25 deals in August.

Also BostonCharlie check Costco for LED bulbs. At my (now) local Costco on Coit & 75, I just found a 6-pack of BR30s for like $7.50 after $7 instant rebate. Looks like you just need normal A19, but I believe they had those too. #DealLife
I wish that watch were 38mm?

Day5
Was too busy at work and exhausted to remember to snap a photo.

Ps -
Costco is my go to for prescription glasses as well. I just got another pair last week (mainly cause I broke my last one and had one stolen from my car)

Still going strong one week in! I've found a new appreciation for this watch already, but I still need to get completely used to the 24 hour dial. I still have to "read" the time.

Even though my plan is to not post any deals in August, still looking for deals.
Found five very interesting deals from four stores that no one else has posted yet.
Curious if those will be found before the end of the month?

Day 7 and I am starting to see the ‘strap monster’ aspect of this watch. Another Barton strap, this time aged brown leather and it looks sweet.

After a rough first day for me, things have gotten easier and I have been cleaning watches, but I haven’t had a strong desire to wear any of them yet. Just enjoying the job well done and becoming more familiar with this Seiko 5.

Thank you everyone who has participated to this point. We will be loosing cortman in this challenge, but if you have seen the watch that is incoming then you would understand.

I have been interested in one of these 24hr movements. Are you using the tail on the hour hand trick? One of my only gripes with my Airman No. 1 is that there is not a lot of contrast between the hands and dial, but I think the tail (which is useless on a 12hr movement) show better on the light dial than on the darker dial.

Tinkering with my POS bike. It’s a cheap bike I bought at a thrift store, and then I left it outside all winter. The virus comes along and now it’s my best source of exercise. Fixing it up has been satisfying. It still sucks, but just not as bad. I get a kick riding a junky bike except when it throws me. Then I wonder what the hell am I doing with my life. Where else can you get that kind of clarity?
