As you may have noticed, we we're offline this morning. This was caused by the "Thanks" plug-in going rogue and using up way too many server resources. This triggered an automatic suspension by our hosting provider as they thought it was a malicious attack. The "Thanks" plug-in has been disabled, hopefully temporarily so I can determine if that was indeed the cause, and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.

I apologize for the disruption and for any confusion that may have caused.

First Crack at a Second Chance

Post by denormalize »

I was going to post this to the Missed Deal Second Chance topic when I realized I couldn't link to the deal because it was in the First Crack at HUISABH for IC members. So, at the suggestion of TheJohnP starting a new topic. First Crack at a Second Chance!

Suggestion was to post the deal here for three days then post in the Bazaar if there are no takers.

To kick off this thread, putting up the Raymond Weil Freelancer Calibre RW1212.
This was an Amazon Warehouse Deal posted by TheJohnP to the First Crack at a Second Chance
List price is $1,850, Sale price was $370.05. A quick search shows current prices above $700.

Passing on the deal, asking $395.95 ($370.05 + 25.90 Tax) + Shipping.

The watch has Raymond Weil's RW1212 movement which is based off the Sellita SW255, but engineered in partnership with Sellita to move the balance wheel to the 6:00 position for the open aperture in the dial.

42.5mm Case, 10.6mm Thick.
Signed screw down crown.
38-hour power reserve.

Strap is excellent leather with a signed deployment clasp.

When I received the watch from Amazon I gave it a once over to find the reported scratch. It was not visible to me until I brought out a flashlight and hit it from just the right angle. Tried to capture it the best I could in the photos below.
