I believe that one important factor in this category is free shipping. I just quit Amazon Prime, giving me reason to reflect on the awesomeness of free shipping. For those who don't have a free-shipping subscription, I can think of two great sources for sub-$20 Casios:

TheCasioStore on eBay, which is Casio's eBay storefront. Free shipping, free returns and often great prices. Their prices and selection vary enough to make it interesting to visit from time to time:

Showing off this Skagen Fisk quartz, which I lucked out on in December. Briefly available then on a coupon deal for under $15 shipped! (You can still find these in the mid-30's if you look.)

Solid fashion watch in a diver style. It came on a nice silicone strap, but to change it up for the weekend I have it on a Fossil NATO I had sitting around. Love the combination of blues!

Alas, I won't be able to pick up mine until I get back to the US, but who knows when that'll be, given the state of the world. I've got a trove of super cheap affordables awaiting me when I do. At least I have that to look forward to.
