Re: Heads Up! I Saw A Bargain Here! 2022

Just a follow-up on a deal posted awhile back for a Grand Seiko SNBG003 at Montredo for $2150. I was skeptical about buying from the retailer but did research and they seemed legit. After I plopped down the most I've ever spent on a watch I waited...and waited...and waited. It took nearly 2.5 months to land in my hands after several follow up emails. Ended up paying around $89 on import duties/fees. I didn't have a small enough precision screwdriver (1mm) so I couldn't size the bracelet. I did get a 19mm watch bandit leather strap on the house due to the delay so I threw that on there. This thing fits perfectly on my 6.5" wrist.

I like these. The typical cheap watch screwdrivers are really soft and the tips bend.

Finally got around to sizing this one. The dial is really dark blue, but the bezel kind of matches.

Unboxing time :)

After a quick shout out to @TheJohnP and Komail from Time Machine Plus for getting me the watch.

I was looking for a Longines Master Collection, 190th Anniversary and having a hard time finding it at a good price.

On @TheJohnP's recommendation, I reached out to our new friend Komail from Time Machine Plus, who is a Longines AD, to see if he could help. He reached out Longines directly to source the watch for me and gave me an extremely competitive price. Bonus, since they are in TX and I'm in FL, no Tax.

The whole process took less than 48 hours, they emailed me an invoice, click, pay and wait for the watch to come in.

Komail was extremely responsive and amazing to work with. Would highly recommend them.

They received the watch, shipped it to me and now I have one less void in the collection :)

Thank you @TheJohnP for the intro and Komail for the hook-up!

Also, while I'm giving shout outs, thank you @Sporkboy for the address blocker!

Ok, Here is the pic heavy unboxing (sorry, I'm excited)

Got home to find the Guinand waiting for me- so far very impressed, it is small 37.5mm but that works for my ‘dainty’ wrists, it’s a great finish to the case and dial as well, all pushers reset perfectly but the alligator strap is tough still and I don’t actually think it’s really been worn!

Timex chrono arrived and I must confess. It’s a stunner. If we had show and tell chrono day at school I’d have a tough time between the 2 Seikos and my Timex. Great finish, nice wrist presence……just a great watch for $160.

Another G-shock. Ordered the bracelet of eBay to make it a “faux full metal”. Love it. Great bracelet for ~$50 + the watch for $138 so $188 total and all the eye-ball of the $330+ real deal.

Next up will be a DW5600 build. Watches are on Amazon now for sub $50. Adding titanium cases and bracelets for $148.
