I'm still getting to know this Sinn 556i RS that arrived yesterday but so far it's a big two thumbs up. A quick review for those interested...

The thing that jumped out to me the most was the vibrancy of the red color used for the seconds hand. All the pics I've seen make it look cherry-red, but in reality it's more of a fluorescent red, bright with heavy orange vibes. It's even better than I expected it to be.

Another thing that got my attention was the glossy black dial. It provides a deep, rich backdrop that makes the handset really pop. It extra noticeable when I put it next to my 856 UTC which uses a matte black dial.

The only negative so far is I'm having some trouble getting the bracelet dialed-in for the ideal fit. I seem to fall right between the 'extra link with smallest micro-adjust' and 'removed link with largest micro-adjust' sizes.

The VSA Airboss arrived. Super cheap bc of a scratch on the outer cardboard box.

A gift arrived from a good friend here.....a brand new Timex Marlin hand-winder. Such a cool watch and a generous gift. So a big thank you for such an awesome gesture. I really appreciate it and I'll definitely enjoy this one.

Yesterday, the Louis Erard mechanical came in.
Showed it off during the virtual meet up last night.

Still wrapped in the plastic, as I'm waffling and debating on whether or not I'm going to keep it. Leaning that way, but have 30 days to return.

Love the thin profile. Love the raised numerals and indices. Love the subsecond doesn't cut off the 6. Was worried that the silver markers and hands would wash out on the white dial, but not the case.

Only major quibble is that it's so flat the 40mm feels larger than it is. Not dramatic but something to get used to, I suppose.

Just in my Vario Trench watch. Very nice and no issues so far. The dial is very well done and I'm glad I did the cream. First Kickstarter in a while.

PAMphibian! It is surprisingly lightweight; I like it. I bought this with the idea of reselling after I see how it is, so far I quite like the look.

This came in yesterday, and I am really liking it. Casio makes a lot of models that fly under the radar, and this is definitely one.

Both of those are quite nice, but I think I like the white/blue one more.
