Haven't seen this one before!
Maybe you encountered an unusual variant of a widely available watch, or discovered an overlooked gem, or simply saw something that made you say "Hey! Cool, didn't know this existed!"
Please share with the class. Doesn't have to be some amazing new specie of watch, just something new to you.
Here are some of mine...
An older variant of the white 38mm Khaki Auto w/ date (H70415113)
The very Sinnesque Casio Timber Cruiser (TIC-100)
Orient Slide Rule Titanium Automatics (CEM58003KW, EM58-C3)

I don't follow Orient Star very much, but this one caught my eye: WZ0081FR. The "Orient Star" font has some GS vibes.

Saw a watch on eBay, but wasn't sure what it was. Turns out it's the 1978 Timex Black Max...

That was a quite rare watch when new, even more so now.peskydonut wrote: ↑Mon Dec 14, 2020 7:54 pm Saw a watch on eBay, but wasn't sure what it was. Turns out it's the 1978 Timex Black Max...

Re: Haven't seen this one before!
Found this on chronograph.sg about 3 years ago for $175, NOS. These are roughly 12 years old. There was a blue colorway (SNZD 75K1) as well that I’d love to have, but prices have gone over $500 for good examples. I put mine on a super engineer II bracelet. Great little watch.
*There is a used one, black colorway, for $225 + $35 S/H on eBay. I got the buyer down to $190, but was trying to get to $175 again. Goal was to swap the bezel. I think it would look great with a blue/black, Batman bezel.
And then my 2 JDM Timex Midget. Not especially hard to come by, but you do need to order direct from Japan. I used Rakuten about 3 years ago to buy these.

Those Timexes are pretty neat too. I considered them myself. They were branded as "Welton"in the US, but in my opinion the JDM colorways look better.

Timex 2C261S (early 2000s?)
Not my style, but I was just surprised to learn that Timex produced an auto power reserve in this century.

Alternative thread title: Watches that everyone knew about, but peskydonut missed because he was using his Motorola flip phone to tell the time.

Someone's selling a Timber Cruiser over on WUS. Not an amazing price, but looks to be in pretty good condition.recapt wrote:Great idea for a thread... and that Timber Cruiser is amazing! [emoji2956]

Very interesting watches in this thread - I hadn't seen any of them before. Thanks for thinking about and posting this, Pesky. Curious to see what else might pop up.
