I can't make out what it is, or what the orientation is. That would drive me crazy if I couldn't figure it out (or have it pointed out to me).

Hard to tell 100% what the image is, but the grey dial looks easier to see one of the dorsal spines. So guessing along the back ridge.

With their normal $125 off voucher, bringing it down under $600 every day, this is a steal. I have a recent CW model (Sandhurst), so I can attest to this being really good value for the money IMHO. (although I would advocate ponying up for it on bracelet as that is also well worth the extra). I have bought 4 or 5 of their straps in the past as well, leather and canvas, and they are good quality for the price.
