For when you fly though your wingman's jet wash, get stuck in a flat spin, and your RIO has to manually bail you both out over the Pacific.
I wish that watch were 38mm?

Totally agree that the limited edition is the best looking one, fun color scheme. Saw these for a very short while on Seiya's site, sold out pretty quickly.

New Seiko Studio Ghibli collaboration; castle in the sky

There are just 1,200 pieces of this watch design available globally – an exclusive collaboration between Seiko and Studio Ghibli, the masters of contemporary Japanese artistry through animated films.
The renowned 1986 Studio Ghibli animated ‘Castle in the Sky’ film plot parallels with the idea of treasured items being handed down through generations – this Presage model is designed to be treasured for the future.
The film’s story centres around the concept of inheritance; desires, dreams and thoughts as well as physical items are heirlooms to be passed on from generation to generation. The main character inherits and uses his father’s goggles to continue the pursuit of his father’s dream of getting to the castle.
The watch’s design cues nod to the physical and conceptual heirlooms in the film.
The crown and dial feature the tangible Levitation stone, whilst the exhibition case back shows an image representing the dream of the castle. Nostalgic roman numerals and a vintage-style blanket stitched leather strap demonstrate the idea of these treasured items being passed on through generations.

Now that I do like..,,, £1350

For the first time, Lip has added an automatic movement to one of their best known models, the Churchill, in the T26 Auto.
Not a date fan, but I do like how they incorporated it into the subdial that normally features the second hand in the quartz version.

Lip Churchill T26 Auto

Price is around $503.85

Until now only offered in a quartz version, the iconic rectangular model of the famous French brand is now available on an automatic movement.

Slightly enlarged to accommodate a mechanical 3 hand - date automatic caliber, the new shaped watch from the Bisontine watchmaking house inherits the name of T26 thanks to its 26 mm width.

Presented on a "Churchill" dial with its characteristic vertical - horizontal double sunburst, the T26 reads the time via faceted black metallic hands.

Watch reference: 671284
Case: 316L stainless steel, steel caseback
Dimensions: 46 mm lug to lug x 26 mm diameter
Dial: silvered 2-tone, IP GUN hands and black arabic numerals, date at 6 o'clock
Glass: sapphire
Strap: 22 mm dark brown genuine bovine leather
Movement: Seiko NH05B automatic
Waterproof: 30 meters
Warranty: 2 years
Made in France - Besançon

Haven’t seen any major watch blogs mention this one yet. I was really hoping with this being the 50th anniversary of the Bulova Lunar Pilot and Apollo 15 we would see a smaller case size/lug-to-lug for this line. This one is still a looker even if it’s still too big for my wrists.

I see this comment a lot from a lot of people, and while I understand it, at the same time I don't.

These reissues are only ~1.3mm larger than the original watch Dave Scott wore.

If you only had a 6.25" wrist, as I have, then you would understand 100%.

6.25" wrist here and the Lunar Pilot is one of my most-worn watches. It's not a watch that disappears on your wrist, but I don't think it's as bad as people fear.

Here's a crappy mirror photo to show how it wears:
PXL_20210629_100420470.jpg
We all have different tolerances for watch size, but if the Lunar Pilot is close to your limit and you love the history or design, I'd urge you to try it on.
