Caravelle quartz chrono mini-review

Post by Elkins45 »

I bought a cheap Caravelle chronograph with the bay 40% off coupon, so I'm out less than $30 with shipping. I liked the blue dial and the mesh bracelet and this certainly isn't the first cheap quartz watch I've bought on a whim. The watch arrived in perfect condition and it looks fine, but it's not very useful as a precise chrono. The Chronograph second hand is the small one and the large second hand is a running hand. Good luck reading down to a precision more than one second.

I'm not blaming the seller because I 100% should have known that from the photo when the large second hand wasn't on 12 and the small hand isn't graduated in 10ths. Like I said I just liked the color, but if you actually want to time things precisely then maybe buy something else.

On a semi-related note, do we need a sub-forum dedicated to watch reviews? Or is MoT wanting to drive all review traffic to the new forum?
