Help me decide

Post by Elkins45 »

I’ve been wanting a meteorite dial watch for a while now. Zelos occasionally offers them but the natural dials sell out within hours and I don’t want one that is painted over. I’m thinking about rolling the dice on a Proxima and these are some of the options I’m considering:

Plusses: stainless case, Seiko movement.
Minuses: 44mm

Plusses: 42mm, Seiko movement.
Minuses: aluminum case?

Plusses: 42mm, stainless case, not another diver
Minuses: Chinese PT 5000 clone movement

Size wise I like the 42mm models but one is aluminum and the other has a Chinese clone movement. I’m leaning toward giving the aluminum case a try but the practical part of me says get the 44mm because 2mm isn’t that much of a difference.

Your thoughts?

There is nothing wrong with the PT5000, I actually opted for that movement in my incoming Ipose.

That being said, and since I'm cheap and seeing that they are all quite similar, I'd end up going with whatever is the least expensive.

The aluminum cased one would be fun to try since it's a material not commonly used.
