Oris Aquis Bracelet Clasp/Parts

Post by Circustown »

I am looking for information on parts for an Oris Aquis 43.5 Bracelet. The pin located at the arrow in the picture https://imgur.com/gallery/aSRDY2n was coming loose and working its way out and I had to constantly push the pin back in order to keep the bracelet from coming apart.

I took this into the local AD, but they said the only thing they could do was replace the whole clasp which they quoted at almost $300 for the work. This seems like something that you could replace the pin and be done with it, but admittedly I am not a watch maker. I looked and I can fine a good condition, used bracelet in its entirety for less than that, so it is a tough pill to swallow.

Wanted to check here to see if anyone has experience with this or know more information, or can point me in a direction to do more digging.

Thank you!

The Watchmaker outside of Boston is the US service center for Oris. They may be able to source the part you need, or might also recommend replacing the clasp.

Wonder if some loctite at the top of the pin would keep it in place?
