Good! Sweet, fruity, not much spice or nuttiness. Surprisingly low heat for 108 proof. Closest (not identical) comps I currently have are Elijah Craig barrel proof and Stagg Jr, but without the heat those two have (both are higher proof).Bbrou33 wrote:How was it? Seems like a good occasion to finish off the 107.

Thanks! It’s everything I’ve hoped it would be for a long time. Didn’t think this would be the year I’d be able to find both the watches I’d had my sights on, but glad to have been wrong.

A little holiday tradition (gonna have to hit a few local liquor stores tomorrow to pick up a few bottles). Happy Thanksgiving to those of you celebrating.

This year's Sierra Nevada Celebration seems better than usual. Maybe it's standing out from all those trendy hazy, juicy, dank IPAs.

Dude!!! I thought I was imagining things. I too feel like this year's release was even better than normal(and it's always one of my favorites). I took a step away from beer in general and then came back to this. I figured that was why it tasted so good, but it's nice to have the reaffirmation!!!BruceR wrote:This year's Sierra Nevada Celebration seems better than usual. My local grocery store had Samichlaus so I had to buy some. I haven't seen this in years. It is shown with the Damasko DA47 that I picked up recently. This beer is so chewy that you need a knife and fork to drink it. That's part of its charm.

Right? And evidently it’s not the only one! [emoji44] But I also realized I don’t have a peated on the shelf right now, so may have to grab an Ardbeg or Laphroaig tomorrow (or would happily accept recs)...
