By that I mean the software bundled with phones that interprets all the 1s and 0s captured by the image sensor (camera).
Here is a perfect example of how they can vary.
Both of these images are untouched, and direct off my phone (Samsung Galaxay S20 Ultra 5G). They both were taken at the same angle, same distance from the watch, and the focus was set to the same point on the dial.

The difference is dramatic, and reinforces in my mind that Samsung still has tweaking to do with the app.
As you may have noticed, we we're offline this morning. This was caused by the "Thanks" plug-in going rogue and using up way too many server resources. This triggered an automatic suspension by our hosting provider as they thought it was a malicious attack. The "Thanks" plug-in has been disabled, hopefully temporarily so I can determine if that was indeed the cause, and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.
I apologize for the disruption and for any confusion that may have caused.

How's the 20? I was very close to trading in my 10 for the 20.

Other than the stock camera app issues, it's a brilliant phone. I've had most of Samsung's flagship phones over the years, and this one is easily the best, and not because it's the newest.
The 100x zoom (extrapolated from 10x optical zoom) is crazy. I'll have to take a series of pics to show it off.
Fair warning, the Open Camera app is not "pretty". It's definitely an exercise in function over form, and there are A LOT of settings to mess around with.

Quick zoom experiment using the S20 Ultra. Target is my car, and focal point is the same spot in each image.
0.5x, 1x, 2x, 4x, 10x, 30x, 100x.
Everything beyond 10x is digital zoom using the optical 10x as base reference to determine the image.
