Good morning all,
Are there any good sources for watch movements (and/or places to avoid)?
I purchased a Citizen NJ0100-89L not that long ago and it is no longer working. The local watch repair wanted $165 to repair it but since I paid less than that for the watch, it did not make sense to invest that much in repairing it.
Having said that, I would like to purchase a new movement if I can get it at a reasonable price and see if I can just swap it out. I believe it has a Miyota 8210. Sooo, what are the best spots to find movements? I checked ebay, but did not find much there.
Thanks!
Sources for Movements
Re: Sources for Movements
You will have better luck finding a Miyota 8205 or 8215. Both should be a drop-in replacement for the 8210 as they are all based on the 8200 and share the same diameter, thickness, hand size, etc.CigarCity wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2023 8:06 am Good morning all,

Esslinger, a company I recommend, sells both the 8205 and 8215:
