Not wearing it today (need to get the bracelet sized) or I would check to see if it’s a screw back. Honestly, was so stunned by the silver dial I can’t remember the case back.

Big thanks to @cheddar for my latest pick up.
Didn't anticipate my next acquisition after my Longines to be another Longines.

Used eBay acquisition with a semi-assist from @TheJohnP. I’m super pleased with it, especially since the auction photos were sketchy at best. https://www.ebay.com/itm/115787448061
Re: Show Off Your New Watch
LOL the jokes on me. It ran for two days then died on my wrist. The good news is that the seller has agreed to a return. Guess I'm on the hunt again. This is the second watch I've owned with a SW200-based movement and both have died within a week. One was a factory new Glycine. I'm not sure what to make of that.Elkins45 wrote: ↑Mon May 08, 2023 12:38 pm Used eBay acquisition with a semi-assist from @TheJohnP. Re: Show Off Your New Watch
A while back ago, I picked up this one from montredo, located across the pond in Germany, after @Penfold36 posted it on the heads up thread. DHL shipping took about a week.
It went well, but here are a couple notes for others -
1/ Make sure to use the full name, including a middle name, as I discovered that my name is pretty generic and similar to a name on the international banned list. I received an email from DHL Hamburg Hub for further verification. The email included a contact phone number, but there is an easier way. After googling around, I found out that I could reply to the email with a copy of my passport, which took care of it. - a couple of days delay.
2/ A DHL US customs broker contacted me when the watch arrived at the New Jersey hub. I needed to fill in a form to declare values for the watch movement, bracelet and case. After googling around, the movement is a fixed flat tax, the bracelet is something like 8-9% tax, and the case is 4-5% tax. So I declared $2500 for movement, $500 for the bracelet, 525 for the case. and that solved it. It was around $130-$150 for import taxes.
The warranty was dated Feb/March this year from a German AD. I registered the warranty online through Breitling by scanning the QR code on the included warranty card. The watch looks brand new. All in all, it was ~$3700. Set aside the $6000 MSRP; the watch is worth around $3500 to $4K. In my opinion, it is a better finish (and is slimmer) than the Tudor GMT. However, the Longines Zulu Time GMTs are in a similar class, with the flyer GMT movement and about $1K cheaper.
I was out of town for a couple of weeks, and finally able to adjust the bracelet today at a local AD. Here is the picture. Thanks MOT.

Ironically I ordered this before the big AliExpress mid year sale, but it was actually cheaper than if I had waited for the sale.

Re: Show Off Your New Watch
It’s not often that I feel like I get more than I paid for relative to the watch game.
- Boderry Titanium automatic field watches for ~$60
- Oceaneva automatic GMT’s for $269
- and of course the Aragon automatic tool watch for $151
Now I need to add the Seestern Titanium Tudor-homage for $195. You already know the specs. It’s definitely a keeper.

Re: Show Off Your New Watch
My 6th Zelos, my 3rd HammerHead and tied for 1st with my SkyRaider - which is saying something. Nobody does the details better than Zelos and they have from the beginning. Every microbrand should buy a Zelos to see how it’s done. Customer care, communications, packaging, warranty, even the warranty card is first class. Everyone I’ve purchased has been like that and even at these lower intro-prices you get a little bonus - a watch roll, extra straps….this time was a very nice 3 watch carrier case. Very high end quality.
This is not a watch review. The specs are well known, this is the Ti version. The steel HammerHead, though heavy, is very wearable because of the lug design that hugs the wrist. I’m a 6.5” wrist and I avoid nearly every 44mm - but these just wear so well. The Ti version takes all that awesome case design and knocks the weight in half. And with the quick slide adjust bracelet you really can forget you’re wearing it. The dial is a stunner. Wasn’t sure I’d love it…..But I does. Anyway….consider my pics a love letter to great watch-making.

Re: Show Off Your New Watch
<$100 Tandorio NH35 sterile dial from eBay. I opted for the sterile dial because I just didn’t want a brand name reminiscent of an Indian clay oven on my watch. It’s definitely SKX ‘inspired’ to put it mildly but I think the bracelet might actually be better than the Seiko version. It’s running +11.5 spd fast, so that’s not spectacular, but I doubt I’ll pop the back off and try to regulate it. I consider it a good value for the price paid.
