Such a quiet thread
FWIW, I am thinking about getting a Garmin Forerunner 645 Music.
At least it's one of the models that is <43mm in diameter.

Or I could go for a Fenix 5S Plus but I might not need such heavy-duty navigation functions..

I don’t have any specific intent to buy one, but I like the look of the Amazfit Neo and they will be available for $35 during The AliExpress 11/11 sale.

I've owned a couple Amazfits (Bip, GTS) and they are pretty outstanding choices.
The Bip would often go 60+ days on a charge.

After being dormant for most of 2020.... this one was on my wrist for most of the week.
Alpina has really improved the App and the interface. Really digging the new app.

That's great to hear that the app has improved. I owned one of the Alpina Smatch Watches (hybrid without a screen). Frustrating piece of kit. Sold it.

Hey guys, does anyone have any experience with Honor ES watch? Currently on sale for £69.99, but I’m wondering if it’s worth saving money and going with Honor Band instead.

No personal experience, but I do like the design language. I wear a traditional watch on my left and a smart on my right and I prefer a square/rectangular smartwatch.
The specs of the Honor ES are basically identical to most Chinese smart/fitness watches, so performance-wise it should be fine. It looks comparable to my Amazfit GTS, and that watch has been excellent.
Choosing between the ES and Band 5 would depend on your intended use. If you just want fitness tracking, I'd save money and go with the Band. If you want a larger screen to better see info and phone notifications, I'd go with the ES. Other than that, on paper they look very similar.

Yes.. it is invicta size... and a huge battery eater.. but other than that.... it wears very nicely.
