This put me down a a bit of a rabbit hole looking through Louis Erard pieces on eBay. It's weird that you can see more than a few of these listed for less than $500. Are there any other small brands that can be found at ridiculous discount like this?chefo wrote: ↑Sat May 15, 2021 4:53 pm Random Ebay seller that I've never bought from has this Louis Erard ultra-thin with a Peseux 7001 for $450.

Given that the movement in it is a pretty expensive one, anything with it for less than $500 is probably a pretty decent deal. I have a semi-skeleton in what looks like the same case (mine is rose gold plated) and I measured it at 6.8mm, give or take. My model usually goes for $700+, for reference. Wears incredibly thin. May yet pull the trigger myself so please buy them up. Last thing I need is another watch.

For those who like Eterna, or the Longines Master Moonphase Calendar look for less, this is arguably the cheapest this Eterna Tangaroa model has been. Price: $ 1,695, list: $ 6 ,750. Note that it is Gemnation's deal of the day which cannot be returned or exchanged.

Beautiful watch, if you don't mind the 14mm thickness.PeteB wrote: ↑Sun May 16, 2021 11:29 am For those who like Eterna, or the Longines Master Moonphase Calendar look for less, this is arguably the cheapest this Eterna Tangaroa model has been. Hope you're not feeling too argumentative, lol (in all fairness, this is from over 5 years ago...approx. 4/16)PeteB wrote: ↑Sun May 16, 2021 11:29 am For those who like Eterna, or the Longines Master Moonphase Calendar look for less, this is arguably the cheapest this Eterna Tangaroa model has been. This thing is in many ways the perfect watch – it's cheap, small, light, accurate, super legible and the lume never fades (oh, and you can use it as a torch!).cuica wrote: ↑Sun May 16, 2021 3:55 pm The Lorus mil lumibrite is also on sale for £23.99 (non drilled lugs and non screw down crown version):

Mine is with drilled lugs and the snap-on caseback – the newer ones screw down. I think all have push-pull crowns, though.
Rubicon Watches seem to have an infinite supply of "display models" (though now labeled "new without tags") currently priced at £29.99 and they ship internationally, although don't seem to automatically substract VAT.

Re: Heads Up! I Saw A Bargain Here! 2021
Besides the absence of the time machine that would get us to $ 999, I would also point out that the two watches have different dials and a different retail price. The one that dumberdrummer is talking about had a retail price of $ 4,900 while the one Gemnation is selling currently has a retail price of $6,750.ManOnTime wrote: ↑Sun May 16, 2021 7:34 pmdumberdrummer wrote: ↑Sun May 16, 2021 6:45 pmHope you're not feeling too argumentative, lol (in all fairness, this is from over 5 years ago...approx. 4/16)PeteB wrote: ↑Sun May 16, 2021 11:29 am For those who like Eterna, or the Longines Master Moonphase Calendar look for less, this is arguably the cheapest this Eterna Tangaroa model has been. Is there a real difference between the two, or is this just a cosmetic change, adjustment for inflation or just a marketing trick? I don't know but since the other one is long gone, it doesn't really matter.

I bought this Eterna Tangaroa Moonphase (gray dial) from a fellow MoT user and love it.isotope wrote: ↑Sun May 16, 2021 5:46 pmBeautiful watch, if you don't mind the 14mm thickness.PeteB wrote: ↑Sun May 16, 2021 11:29 am For those who like Eterna, or the Longines Master Moonphase Calendar look for less, this is arguably the cheapest this Eterna Tangaroa model has been. Re: Heads Up! I Saw A Bargain Here! 2021
Was checking your link and the screwdown caseback drilled lugs version is this one (more expensive):
https://www.rubiconwatches.com/lorus-lu ... 655ax9-new
Had one and it was a very good watch but it's a little small and has 18mm lugs.
If Lorus made it a tiny bit bigger with 20mm lugs it would then be perfect.
I now have this one (£18.99). The bezel is fixed but it's a great little watch:
