I doubt this is something many of you would even give a second look to, but an ad popped up in my Facebook feed for a Carnegie Watches going out of business sale. It appears to be a real company, in that they have actual contact info and there was a review of one of their watches on The Time Bum blog. Plus presumably you are protected by your credit card. I’m still waiting to see if PayPal has my back for the “$29.99 Seiko” I gambled and lost on a couple of months ago.

They are all quartz watches and the ones I looked at have zinc cases, so we’re not talking heirloom quality pieces here, but this one did catch my eye for $7.95 plus an unknown amount of shipping. I’m a sucker for these kinds of analog digital designs. I can’t promise I will order one but it’s tempting.

Appears to work on sale straps. Plus, $4 (slow) shipping is now available to the US. Pity some of the previously discounted straps/bracelets are either back to full price or out of stock, but certainly a deal if something you've been looking at is already discounted.
