It's a pretty heavy watch for a dress piece, mine weighted at about 90 grams. For reference, most of the classics in solid gold are usually in the 50-60 grams range. If I had to guess, there's quite a bit of actual 18k gold in the case, at least it feels that way. Buckle is also solid 18k gold.

They also have the gold-plated version for a tad over $3K, which is also an incredible value for what is likely a new perpetual calendar.

P.S. I'm pretty sure that Citizen/FC are using the North American market to dump new inventory as "refurbished" so as to not piss off their European and Asian ADs which is where they supposedly get most of their business from. In Europe, prices are usually 2x what you'd pay here in the US--in other words, you're paying 30% off, which is comparable to most non-hot Swiss watch brands, rather than 60%+ off--which is straight up liquidation for very high end, in-house pieces.

Don't lurk! Share the deals. I didn't mean to discourage you. That's probably the best deal at the moment. I was just trying to pint out that if you are patient, you can pick this up for a lower price the next time it's on sale at Macys.

But, patience is not really in abundance here.When you "need" another watch, you need it now.
