Iridium watches out of Singapore have launched their first Kickstarter for their debut collection, Torpedo, a vintage inspired dive watch.
You'd think people would be tired of Kickstarter dive watch projects, but this one is already fully funded and Super Early Bird slots sold out.

The new IRIDIUM Torpedo is a classic, no-nonsense dive watch with impressive specs and a vintage-oriented design. The case, with its curved lugs and polished bevel, measures 42mm in diameter and 14mm in height – modern proportions. It features a domed sapphire crystal, a screw-down steel caseback and a screw-in crown, for 300m water resistance. The IRIDIUM Torpedo also plays on old-school vibes with a coin-edge unidirectional 120-click steel bezel on which the numerals and markers are filled with luminescent material. Inside the case, the watch is powered by an exceptionally reliable Japanese automatic movement.

The Torpedo will be available in six colorways (two of which don't appear to have made it to prototypes): Arctic White, Salmon Buff, Cloud Grey, Ocean Green, Reef Blue, and Abyss Black

Pulling the Plug on Kickstarter!!

Dear Backers,


We thank you for backing us on the IRIDIUM Torpedo project. Unfortunately, we are pulling the plug on the campaign as there are few concerns which needs to be addressed. We need to focus on family health concerns and don't want to divert attention and let the project suffer. Also being stuck in India due to potential complete lockdown in coming week will make it difficult to travel to the factory as well. India is experiencing massive second wave of Covid-19. Hence we will be postponing the project until a suitable date (3 months). We would like to mention that we may also end up funding the project internally and bringing it to the market for direct selling.
