It has the nice divers' extension bracelet similar to the BN015x models that come on bracelets. Very nice. However, I can't make up my mind on the looks. It's one of those where the face/dial is too small for the watch or something.

Sorry I'm a bit late to the conversation, but I'm wearing this watch right now and I love it. I've barely worn anything else over the past 3 weeks.
It's a great dive watch-- lume is Seiko-level, bezel is a joy to use, and it's way more comfortable than any 44mm watch has any right to be. The GMT is just the icing on the cake. Overall build quality is outstanding; this watch easily deserves its regular going price of $425. Bracelet is great and the mere presence of a ratcheting clasp on a $140 watch is extraordinary. It's a good clasp, too-- helps me keep the watch on bracelet even when it's boiling hot outside.
I can understand reservations about the size or styling. All I can recommend is to try it, either through OWD or at a Citizen retailer. Certain design elements don't stand out as much on wrist as they do on a computer screen, it's hard to explain. Normally, I don't wear any watch with 51mm length, but I've made an exception for this one since it's so comfortable. In any case, I've returned a watch to OWD before with zero hassle and a near-instant response with a shipping label.


Note that the jumpset hour hand only jumps in the forward direction. I guess one should only fly eastward?

I have to respectably disagree. I don't pretend to know about the G-Shock line (I have a few, but I'm not a G-head), but I've never seen examples of OEM quick release bands for G-Shocks (other than aftermarket). If anyone knows different, let me know.
Otherwise, if it's new, then AWESOME! In fact, the more I research this particular model, the more I realize what a great deal this is, so I went ahead and bought into my own deal! I love the "white gold" - I just wasn't sure about the white face/band.

Um, yeah, also not a "G-head" here. But a casual scan through Casio's G-Shock page reveals a fair number of the new models have the QR hardware, among the non-metal banded models. In particular the "CasiOak" (2100 series) and many of the newer 5600's.

Worth noting that this is the smaller 38.4mm square, vs. the traditional square's 42.8mm. A boon for the smaller wristed among us.

It's been common on some models for awhile. For instance, all GA-2100's (Casioaks) have quick releases. So maybe 3 years or so.

Lower end models (DW5600's) and some older models GWM5610s don't. Many other styles haven't seen them yet, either. Even newer styles of "squares" like the GBX-100 don't have a quick release.

Some special edition models even have quick swap bezels that don't have screws. These sets often come with multiple straps, also with quick releases.

So yes it's been common for a few years, but only in certain model ranges. The good news is most of the bands on the squares and Casioak's are interchangeable.
