Batavi Watches is a Netherlands/Canada based micro-brand founded in 2017. This is their 4th campaign with one canceled and two successfully funded.

THE GEOGRAAF collection is officially our third offering for the watch enthusiasts. This is our take on the worldtimer and GMT category within the realm of wrist watches. With the Geograaf we tried to do something unconventional and interesting, something not typically seen in the microbrand space. The Geograaf is a sophisticated looking luxury aviation watch, we used color inspired by geographic locations mixed with minimalist and vintage esthetics. We tried not overdue the colors but to use the color combinations in a intuitive way to trigger emotion.
With the use of a rotating 24hr disc, the watch became very useful and handy to track a second or multiple time zones (world-timer). The time on the 24hr disc is always up to date, because its rotating along with the local time. The use of colors to indicate day-night keeps the dial in motion during the day. The combination of functionality and design are key for the Geograaf project!
The Geograaf is available in four colorways with two as additional as stretch goals.
Production Updates:
To make a good product even better we will update and have minor changes on the preview samples.
- Better alignment of numerals.
- Deeper engraving on 10hr crown.
- Polishing on hour index tip.
- Changes on city inner bezel.
- Extra layers anti reflecting coating on crystal.
