Breitling certainly needs no introduction and the Chronomat line is no exception. This 44mm polished steel offering is one of the more beautiful pieces in the lineup. The striking blue dial paired with black subdials offers a blend of balanced esthetics combined with the polished steel case and bracelet. As with most blues, photos simply don’t do it justice. This is an extremely versatile timepiece that can be worn in both casual and formal occasions and offers a sophisticated and simple design without appearing overstated.
This set will present double boxed with its travel case and pillow (as with most older travel cases/pillows, there are some signs of wear here). Its booklet dated 2009, manual, and chronometer certificate are also included. There are eight links to the bracelet and can accommodate approximately 16cm, or 6.3 inches. The overall condition is very good with minimal, non-specific wear. The case and bracelet have minimal wear with no discernable defects while the clasp has some minor wear. The crystal is also defect free with the exception of some wear to the AR coating between 10-12 which is hardly visible in certain direct lights. Timekeeping metrics are noted to be healthy.
