The official BAD deals thread

I know that many others like myself come across some prices while looking for deals that make you say "WTF are they smoking?!?". Just for laughs, here is a place to post "deals" with crack pipe pricing.
I'll start. While perusing overstock.com, I found an SKX009J that had "add to cart to see price". This is good! Maybe there is some sweet deal here so good they wont even show it! Here is what I found.

These posts reminded me of a certain eBay seller that routinely has vintage Seiko 5s listed at around $1000. In their defense, they've been around since 2010 and have 99.3% positive feedback. They seem to have a knack for refinishing watches and have superb photography skills. And it's certainly possible they use Photoshop to touch things up a bit. I'll link the seller below.

They also sell Omega and Rolex and plenty other higher tier brands. And I know that there are no shortage of vintage Seikos that were once cheap but now command a premium. But many of these watches are run of the mill Seikos with 7009, 7S26, and 6309, or even cheaper quartz movements that can be found for damn near nothing if you search ebay for a minute. Make no mistake. The diver you see below is a plain old used SKX. For nearly $1000!!! I can sell you one for half that price. ;)

Bulova Accuswiss Calibrator Automatic model 63B171 for $420.70 after 10% discount with sitewide code “TUESDAYTEN“. Despite being $50 to $100 cheaper than current ebay listings, the same watch is $410 at Walmart.com.

Someone recently posted about a CCCP "Copernicus" style watch on Watches.com for $199.
Which does appear to be a decent deal. Not arguing that.

But that posting reminded me that Raketa did actually reissue the Copernicus not too long ago.
Which is looks nearly the same, but going for roughly $1,260!

Granted, did find that particular Raketa on sale through Soyuztime.ru for roughly $761. What a deal!
https://soyuztime.ru/katalog/naruchnye_ ... 6-10-0184/

They're not exactly the same watch as the Raketa is slightly smaller (40.5mm vs 42mm) and has a sapphire crystal.
But that's not a lot of difference in a watch for such a difference in price.

Help me flag a scammer on Craigslist:

https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/jwl/ ... 19827.html

I exchanged some e-mails with the seller thinking in good faith that they simply made an error. SEL bracelet, no holes case, super luminova dial - clearly it's not a 1984 16660 for sale. Seller told me to do my homework, that it was a 1984... Then I got to looking closer. I did not realize there are actually pictures of TWO watches posted in the ad, one holes case, one no holes! So I called out the seller again - obvious scam and they owned it! I told them I was going to flag them, but I need your help. Let's shut this ad down!

The clearance section at Gemnation consists mostly of full price watches. They couldn't even shave a single buck off the price of the gold H Moser.
